Alan Kitching is the man

An illustrator & artist, Alan Kitching has got major skills. He is one of the world’s foremost practitioners of letterpress typographic design & printmaking. Alan is known for hisĀ expressive use of wood and metal letterforms in creating visuals for commissions and his own limited edition prints.

I found these images on Debut Art, he has a full portfolio here that you can go check out too! Hope everyone has a great Friday & an even better weekend!

Eco-friendly & funny

I found B.E.E. today, environmentally friendly home cleaning products based in New Zealand (add another reason to the list why I love New Zealand so much). This packaging focuses on typography as the main design element using clever little sayings to let you know what the product does rather than saying ‘dish soap’.

I was trying to think what B.E.E.’s competitor would be in the United States & I couldn’t think of anything until I walked into my bathroom & saw my Method hand soap… ding ding ding!

B.E.E. if you’re reading this, please come to the U.S., your products would sell like hotcakes.

Sweet find

Ever heard of Telegramme Studio? Yea, well I hadn’t either until I randomly ran across them today & I have to say, boy am I glad I found their stuff. Their website is currently under construction, but they have a partial site up & running & from what I can tell, they’re based in London. Gig posters, t-shirts, web, & print is what they do, & I love their grunge style of design.

So what do you think?! Pretty cool, & as always if you want can’t get enough of Telegramme Studio’s work, there’s more!
